Page Keating

Graduate Student, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University

Page Keating is currently a student at Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health pursuing a masters in science in global disease epidemiology and control. She aims to study infectious disease patterns on a global, regional, local or humanitarian scale. She graduated from the Honors College at Stony Brook University in 2017 with a double major in Biology and Anthropology.  She is excited about the Global Citizenship Project because it aims to create a structure for Stony Brook students to explore and understand their role in an increasingly global society.  From her work registering over 7,000 students to vote, she aims to increase her generation’s awareness of their power for change at a local or global scale.  Understanding the local narrative and history in different parts of the world is part of being a better global citizen, and this project’s attention to this goal through literature is vital to helping our students be prepared for this Global Society.
